Ingredients:
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
3 egg yolks
2 tablespoons milk
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions:
(1). In a medium bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Beat in egg yolks, stir in milk. Combine flour, cinnamon, baking powder and salt, stir into wet ingredients until well blended. Wrap dough and chill for a minimum of 2 hours.
(2). Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
(3). On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to 1/4″ thickness. Use any size cookie cutter to make the desired shapes. Place cookies 1″ apart onto a cookie sheet.
(4). Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until lightly browned. Remove cookies to wire racks and cool.
I’ve baked and decorated these for baby showers, for school special events and weddings. Dough is easy to work with and the cookie is tasty without being dry. The kids love them, too!
